> IP intelligence and location APIs for developers. Ten years old and still running, which taught me more about maintenance than any of the new ones have.

Founder, everything

- **Category**: SaaS
- **Released**: 2015

## Origin

This one started as a learning project in 2015. I wanted to understand PHP object-oriented programming properly, and building a real REST API that other developers could actually use seemed like a better teacher than a tutorial.

Ten years later it is still in production.

## What it does

GeoIP location and IP fraud prevention. Developers hit the API to resolve an IP to a location; marketers use the tracking script to understand where landing page traffic actually comes from.

## Engineering notes

- Real-time tracking script for sites and landing pages
- GeoIP-driven landing page optimisation
- Custom dashboard with invoice and subscription management
- Stripe integration using a custom card form

## What is next

AI analysis, to help marketers identify their best-performing pages rather than just reporting where visitors came from.

## More work

### [Nova](https://carlosarias.co/projects/nova/)

2026 to present

The platform this site runs on. Nova is a team of AI agents that handles the repetitive work behind digital marketing, rank tracking, local SEO, citations, competitor research, content, QA, small site fixes, so that the hours I spend go to strategy instead. It runs my own projects and client websites in production.

### [Crawller](https://carlosarias.co/projects/crawllr/)

April 2026 to present

A crawler I built because the existing ones were not good enough for what I needed, large-scale collection, knowledge extraction, and indexing that AI can actually use.

### [Medellin.co](https://carlosarias.co/projects/medellin-co/)

2022 to present

A city platform for travelers, expats and local businesses. It is where I learned RAG and autonomous content generation properly, at a scale where getting it wrong was visible.

Building something like this?
