Who I am

Marketing and technology, treated as one discipline.

I'm a Marketing Engineer — I engineer the systems behind marketing, not just the campaigns. I've spent more than 25 years across digital marketing, SEO, software engineering, automation and data, and today I bring that combination to law firms. I look at the whole growth system — search, website, lead, intake, CRM, follow-up and the data behind it — to find what's working, where leads are being lost, and where technology can give a firm an advantage. Most marketers have to call a developer when something gets technical; I don't, which is usually why I can tell a firm what's actually wrong instead of guessing at it. I'm not trying to build another big agency; I want a handful of clients where I can understand the business and stay personally involved in the work.

In plain terms

The words behind the work, defined.

Marketing Engineer

Someone who engineers the systems behind marketing, not just the campaigns. Most marketers call a developer when the work gets technical; a Marketing Engineer builds the search, website, tracking and automation directly.

First click to signed case

The full path a law firm's growth system has to cover — search result, website visit, lead, intake, follow-up, retained client — treated as one connected system instead of separate campaigns.

Turning data into cases

The through-line of the work: using measurement and automation to find where cases are being won or lost across that whole path, then fixing the system, not guessing at tactics.

The fit

Who this is for — and who it isn’t.

A fit for

  • Solo, boutique and small-to-mid law firms in the United States
  • Firm owners and partners who want one accountable person, not a rotating agency team
  • Firms already getting traffic but losing leads somewhere between the click and the signed case
  • Firms that want to understand what was done and why, in plain language

Not a fit for

  • Firms shopping purely for the cheapest possible vendor
  • Anyone wanting a hands-off 'set it and forget it' agency
  • Large firms that need a big in-house-style marketing department
  • Anyone seeking legal advice — this is marketing, not legal services

How engagements work

Engagements are retainer-based and scoped to the individual firm, with a deliberately small client roster so the work stays hands-on. There is no fixed package price — scope depends on the firm's practice areas, market and where the growth system needs work. Start with a conversation.

Straight answers

Frequently asked, plainly answered.

Who is Carlos Arias?

Carlos Arias is a Marketing Engineer for law firms. He has spent 25+ years across digital marketing, software engineering, data and automation, and now brings that combination to law firms — engineering the whole system that turns a first click into a signed case.

What is a Marketing Engineer?

A Marketing Engineer engineers the systems behind marketing, not just the campaigns. Where most marketers hand technical work to a developer, a Marketing Engineer builds the search, website, tracking and automation directly, which is why they can tell a firm what is actually wrong instead of guessing.

What does Carlos Arias do for law firms?

He works on the whole growth system: SEO and local search, the website and its conversion, lead intake and follow-up automation, and the attribution that shows which channels produce cases. The goal is signed cases, not vanity metrics.

How is this different from a marketing agency?

Carlos works directly with a small number of firms rather than running a large agency, so the person diagnosing the problem is the person doing the work. The engineering depth means technical issues get fixed in-house instead of being outsourced or ignored.

Who does Carlos Arias work with?

Solo, boutique and small-to-mid law firms in the United States — usually owners and partners who want one accountable specialist. It is not a fit for firms shopping only on price, or for anyone seeking a hands-off, set-and-forget agency.

Where is Carlos Arias based?

Carlos is based in South Florida, United States, and works with law firms across the country remotely.

How much does it cost to work with Carlos Arias?

Engagements are retainer-based and scoped to the individual firm; there is no fixed package price. Scope depends on the firm's practice areas, market and where the growth system needs work. The starting point is a conversation.
